Role-Dispatch Desktop Support
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring their computer systems and software are functioning properly. Your expertise in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues will be crucial in maintaining a productive work environment.
Duties:
- Provide technical support to end-users, both in person and remotely
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly
- Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory
- Assist with software installations and updates
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement process improvements
- Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 7)
- Familiarity with Mac OS, Linux, and mobile devices (iOS, Android)
- Experience with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) is preferred
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Proficient in software troubleshooting and support
- Familiarity with Active Directory administration
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
